How Does Our 3-Month Peer Mentorship Program Work?

  • Apply: Interested mentors and peers apply for the program below.

  • Matching: We pair peers with mentors who have similar experiences, goals, and availability to ensure a great fit.

  • Orientation: Once selected for participation, you'll receive an email with a peer mentorship acceptance and liability form. Please sign and return it to secure your spot. Both mentors and peers will then join a fun and informative orientation session to learn about the program and its guidelines.

  • Regular Meetings: Mentors and peers meet twice a month to discuss progress and set goals.

  • Trainings: We encourage participants to join self-advocacy and leadership training sessions, as well as coalition meetings. These are optional but highly beneficial opportunities to enhance your experience in the peer mentorship program.

  • Support: Mentors will offer advice, share resources, and help mentees overcome challenges. Since this is a supervised program, there will always be someone available to guide participants and provide additional support when needed.

  • Check-Ins: Program coordinators will regularly check in to make sure everything is going smoothly. They are there to help you fill out goal sheets and provide resources if needed, ensuring you have the support you need.

  • Program End: At the end of the 3 months, mentors and mentees review their progress and celebrate achievement.s.
